A sex toy known simply as the “rose toy” has gone viral on TikTok, with fans raving about this suction vibrator’s almost supernatural ability to induce powerful clitoral orgasms. We tested a rose toy for our guide to the best vibrators, finding that, yes, the toy lives up to its reputation. However, while some people find it a worthwhile buy, it’s not the most user-friendly suction vibrator we’ve tested.

Suction vibrators were considered revolutionary when the German brand Womanizer debuted its first such toy in 2014. Its innovative technology has since inspired dozens of imitators. Unlike traditional vibrators, these toys use focused, pulsing air suction on the clitoris to create a sensation many users compare to oral stimulation. We’ve tested 10 different suction vibrators over the past eight years and recommend the gentle, easy-to-position Dame Aer as the best suction vibrator for most people.
Still, the rose toy we tried impressed our testers. And at about $45 versus $95, it’s a more affordable choice compared with the Aer.
You can choose from lots of rose toys: A quick Google search turns up half a dozen identical-looking suction vibrators from different brands, ranging in price from about $30 to $65. (Adorime claims its Rose Lover Sucking Vibrator is the original rose toy.) We decided to test NS Novelties’s Inya The Rose because it is stocked by a reputable sex toy retailer and covered by a one-year manufacturer’s warranty—fairly generous coverage compared with warranties on most mechanized sex toys in its price range.
Our testers found that Inya The Rose—which features three levels of suction, plus seven vibration patterns—lives up to the hype, providing intense yet comfortable suction stimulation. One of our testers reported that it was the first time she found that a toy’s vibration patterns actually enhanced the experience rather than being a superfluous annoyance. Overall, it’s an aesthetically pleasing toy that performs well and charges quickly. And the Inya runs more quietly than the Aer.
We continue to recommend the Aer over the Inya for several reasons. First, the mouth of the Aer is larger than that on the Inya, creating a more diffuse and customizable level of sensation, with five levels of intensity compared with the Inya’s three. This may be preferable for people who find the Inya’s suction sensation too intense, even on its lowest level. Second, the Aer’s button console is more user friendly, so you can easily toggle back and forth between different levels of stimulation rather than having to cycle through 10 total settings, as you must with the Inya. The Aer’s slim curved shape is also better suited for use during intercourse or in combination with penetrative toys, as it doesn’t take up as much space when compared with the bulbous Rose. Lastly, the Aer comes with a three-year warranty, while the Inya is covered for only a year.
Overall, though, people who prefer intense stimulation or don’t want to spend roughly $100 on a suction vibrator may find Inya The Rose a solid addition to their sex toy collections.
